We proud to announce the start of …

“Chatting Over Chai”

our first-ever book club!
Are your eyes on the lookout for a good mystery? Then you will
love our first book club series by Laura Childs, author of ten
acclaimed tearoom murder mysteries. Imagine what suspicious
events can happen while the Blood Orange and deadly Darjeeling
are steeping!

Chatting over Chai will meet at 10:30 am on the 1st Saturday
and repeat on 2nd Wednesday of each month in the upstairs
Gift Boutique lounge. The book club is free to join, and we
welcome all those that have an interest in books, tea, our tea
room, or those that are just looking to meet some new friends!

Our first meeting is on Saturday, October 4th, 2008. We’ll
be discussing the series’ first book, Death by Darjeeling, which
is now for sale in our Boutique. There is also a free copy in our
lounge, if you would like to read, relax, and let the mysteries
steep! Please join us and come meet others who enjoy tea and
our little tea room as much as you do!

If you’d like to reserve an advance copy of any of the books in
the series you may call us at the tea room at (859) 594-4832.
Or for your convenience, pre-order your books online at

TeaLady Boutique.com
and pick it up at our store at the first
meeting. Let the mystery of tea begin!
Ordinarily, Charleston's Indigo Tea Shop is an oasis of
calm. But when tea shop owner, Theodosia Browning,
caters the annual Lamplighter Tour of historic homes,
one of the patrons turns up dead. Never mind that
it's Hughes Barron, a slightly scurrilous real estate
developer. Theodosia's reputation is suddenly on the
line. Aided by her friends and fellow tea shop
entrepreneurs, Theo sets about to unravel the
mystery of the deadly Darjeeling and encounters a
number of likely suspects. Tanner Joseph, the fiery
environmentalist, held a grudge against the
developer for his misuse of land. Timothy Neville, the
octogenarian major domo for the Heritage Society,
opposed Hughes Barron's election to the board. And
Barron's unsavory partner might very well profit from
a cleverly written buy-sell agreement!
